    Anise Stops Bird Flu

    “Anise may save the people from bird flu,” the DPA news agency reported. Vietnamese scientists have reportedly extracted shikimic acid from star anise and the acid is one of the major components of the only efficient - Tamiflu.

    Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry asked Bob Goodlatte, Chairman of the Agricultural Committee with the US Congress, for 1,000 doses of Tamiflu.
    Meanwhile, the people in the southern Bulgarian town of Kurdjali and in the Northeastern town of Targovishte were panicked by some dead domestic birds. However, it turned out that the birds had been killed by a dog. Bird flu has reached the Turkish Kusadasi resort

    In arab countries anise is called yansoon
